The Pinot Grigio di Col d 'Orcia derives from 100% Pinot Grigio grapes grown on alluvial terraces overlooking the Orcia and Ombrone rivers, at an average altitude of 250 metres above sea level. It is a white wine with a straightforward and immediate character, subjected to fermentation for 10-12 days at a temperature of 16-18° C and bottled a few weeks after the end of the winemaking process. Pinot Grigio is a vine resulting from a genetic mutation of Pinot Noir, whose cultivation is widespread in some areas of Italy including Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino Alto Adige and Tuscany. If vinified with maceration on the skins it takes on a characteristic coppery colour.

The Pinot Grigio Toscana IGT 2017 by Col d'Orcia is presented in the glass of a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. On the nose, it offers fragrant floral scents that are combined with clear aromas of white pulp fruit. When tasted, the fruity aromas return accompanied by a good flavour and a lively freshness that increases the pleasantness of the drink. Excellent as an aperitif, it goes well with simple and exquisite seafood recipes based on fish, molluscs and crustaceans.
